Teaching watercolor to adults

Original "Washing Away" watercolor painting by Olga Peregood. 22" x 15" inches

Hi there! Thank you my dear reader of my blog. At the beginning when I started this blog about water & color I didn't know anybody read it. Those times I just arrived in a new country, my English needed hard definition, I faced so many things to deal with, I missed my family and friends, my favorite food and streets and activities I used to do.

I faced a deep hole which I didn't know how to fill.

Now I have friends almost in every country ready to help me what ever I need.

I made 100 videos on my YouTube channel teaching watercolor to adults, taught online courses and classes, held livestream sessions on Periscope, chat with my customers about commissions and paintings for sale.
I think my English get better since than. I can't explain why the number of my students growing crazy every day.

Visiting Niagara Falls

I have so many invitations and business requirements how to roll my art carrier in next year. I don't want to rush. I have to make a break to set up my priorities.

I know my favorites which I can't replace on anything else. This is my time for my family, my home and garden. This is my time for painting for myself which charged me with positives through hardest times in my life. And this is sharing, truly joy of sharing my joy with you, my dear reader.

We live in extremely wonderful time. I'm gonna continue to stay in touch with you via my blog, videos and ...oh, no!...finally I opened a Facebook Page!

How to paint foliage

Indigo and Hooker's Green watercolors
applied technique "Creating by Destroying"
from my class "Watercolor Treasure Chest"
I love flowers, continuously paint them. Each time by the way explore new ways to portray foliage/greenery.

Look at this greenery effect. I discovered it and titled "Creating by Destroying". I already showed this wonderful technique in my class for beginners "Watercolor Treasure Chest". Indigo and Hooker's Green by Daniel Smith mixed and washed away while flow. This is how to paint foliage! Since I approached this technique painting flowers become even more enjoyable process as I don't need worry at all about greenery.

I have spent many tubes with different green watercolor past summer as I tended to paint every single flower from my garden in Belarus. And I enjoyed using each tube of green watercolor. But this one come to my palette more often then the others. A pure green for me, juicy summer greenery in a tube! Such a treasure for lazy artist as me who don't want to think which colors to mix to gain green.

Applying my favorite technique from my class for beginners "Watercolor treasure Chest"
And this is one more fun way how to paint foliage by using a salt. This time I applied this technique not for fluffy fur but for interesting greenery for my tulips painting. I showed how to apply it as well in my class. It is such a pleasure to paint loose! Once you approach techniques and how to apply them for your subject you continuously feel this pleasure of creating and during the day collect new ideas for next! Sometimes I shared some of mine ideas in this blog. I hope you enjoy!

Watercolor apples or peaches?

Me holding first watercolor apples wash/layer upside down! Single frame from vlog
Hi, there! The most important thing in painting is your wish to paint. The second - what excites you. For my apples painting I already had a wish to show and share my style among my friends and artists all over the world. The second - I wanted to portray fresh alive fruits on a tree from my garden, as well as original composition (3-apples in a line) and to keep painting as simple as an apples!

The third - it should be fun. My students used to see peaches in my watercolor apples. And I used to hold paintings upside down while filming for my YouTube channel "lazywonderbrush".

Hello, my dear artists and friends! When the topic is acuarela brushes I can talk till the morning. Especially since I tried these two acuarela brushes: one Watercolor Brush Sceptre Gold Brush, series 101, Round #4 by Winsor & Newton and another one is Watercolor Brush Cosmotop Mix B, Series 5530, #10 by Da Vinci. So I wrote this separate blog post for you and I hope many of my followers will be glad to know which brushes I used recently for my paintings.

Acuarela brushes review. Single frame from YouTube vlog

Gold touches

Watercolor Brush Sceptre Gold Brush, series 101, Round #4 by Winsor & Newton. This is lovely one from watercolor acuarela brushes I had try. My hand takes it each time I paint delphiniums for their delicate petals, marigold little red marks in a center or animal eyes. I love feeling by painting with this brush, how it moves across the surface of the paper. This is the most quality one from all. Golden touches.

Let it go!

Watercolor Brush Cosmotop Mix B, Series 5530, #10 by Da Vinci. If scroll several recent YouTube vlogs on my channel "lazywonderbrush" you might noticed how often I pick up this brush. What secret mix manufacture made for this brush! As soon as brush connected with your paper seems like it moves by itself! Check how much pleasure while moves across the paper, makes curly brushstrokes or wash away color. Soft, strong connection, gradually brings pigments. Absolutely my favorite.
